Has Anyone Had An Ovarian Cyst That Was So Bad They Had To Remove Your Whole Ovary?

I am having surgery to remove an ovarian cyst from my right ovary tomorrow. My doctor has said that most likely they will have to remove at least my right ovary if not my right ovary and tube. I am only 27 I am very concerned right now about what might happen.

my wife had it done . simple op . her down time about 3 or 4 weeks.

I just had the surgery to remove an simple cyst that was growing on my ovary and they had to remove my ovary as well. I’m only 23 so don’t feel so bad. I’m still recovering. I had the surgery on May 18th 2009. Do not worry. The more you worry the worse you may feel. It will be okay.

Oh I forgot to include that my cyst was 12cm! Yeah it was serious!
