I just got home from the ER this morning after a long night. My ultra sound showed a Ovarian Cyst and fluid surrounding it. So they thought I had a Cyst burst which is probably why I was in so much pain after intercourse. But my question is should I be having intercourse? I was trying to get pregnant and had a miscarriage so I’m not sure if I need to hold off on sex?

an ovarian cyst can be REALLY painful…if you can tolerate the jiggling associated with intercourse…then i would say that you have nothing to worry about…ovarian cysys are common and they usually break on their own…
if it does not hurt, then I would go for it!

i dunno what your doctor told u but i also had a ruptured cyst and my doctor specifically told me to stop having sex for at least 4-5 days, while it heals itself. (the cyst dissapears and the fluids dissapears). so i did that, i actually waited a week and a half and after taht sex still hurt like hell!! its was soo annoying because we would start and then have to stop because it was so uncomfortable when he hit near my right side. it stopped hurting about a month after the whole episode. i wouldnt definitely take it easy for a while, it will just be uncomfortable and not let yourself heal.

Ohhh I don’t know what to tell little own do I know how to even go there. All I can say is ouch. And I hope you get the problem corrected soon! Also if it was me and I was in so much pain I would hold off on sex. Most definatly.

Ovarian cysts are quite painful. If you feel the need to breed, unless the DR told you otherwise it shoud be ok. You must be very lucky indeed to have a sensitive partner and one who is having contact with your ovaries. Most females have an anatomy which places the ovaries a bit higher than yours and in fact, they are impossible to reach from the vagina.
